QOL Changes Update: November 2021

This Update is focused around QOL changes. We also announced a Special Event, coming on 12/10/21.

Hi all! The Kathleen Hotel has undergone some changes...

Well, it’s true! We’ve been working hard, so let’s get into it!



The New Design

Well, the new look didn’t go as planed to. We had some problems. First, was the darkness. When your trying to make something look 3-D, the only thing you can do is use shading. When you do shading, you go from dark to light, which is what we did, and it worked! However, as we added this to the whole site, it just made it look dark and gloomy. This is not what we wanted. Kathleen Hotel is supposed to look fun and inviting, and a dark interface was not our dreams. So we turned back. However we did keep the buttons the same, to make it look like a real button, and to show that you can actually click it. Maybe we will be back with this this look-that is if we can make it look less gloomy.



New Warnings and Updated Design

Yes it’s here! When you click on a button, let’s say “Switch Sites” you will be presented with a new, but simple question. We’re working on adding this to many new elements of the Kathleen Hotel website. What does it do? Well, simple. How about you click on the button to go to our YouTube channel, where there is no way to get back to our website. Instead of just taking you there, it asks you if you truly want to go, just in case it was an accident. Also, it has been added for different uses, such as if you typed in a page on Kathleen Hotel that does not not exist, a simple pop-up will tell you that the page was not found. Have some fun and try to find all the places we hid the pop-ups!



So that’s all that is new. Keep checking here though... You never know when we will post updates! Also, the new button look has been spread to more pages, so stay on the lookout for pages with the new button look that you have not seen yet! Have a great day, and I will see you soon!
